A magnificent castle with parts dating back to 1067, we visit during the tulip festival, where over 100,000 tulips will bloom.
Regarded as one of the top tulip displays in Europe, and set against the breathtaking backdrop of the castles gardens, visitors will see 120 different named tulips including Purple Passionale, White Triumphator, Angelique, Madame Lefeber, Curley Sue, and Flaming Spring Green to name but a few.

Shop at independent boutiques, antique markets and art galleries or eat out overlooking the River Arun in one of Arundels pretty
waterside pubs, cafés and restaurants.
Visit the cathedral and local musuem or how about stroll around Swanbourne Lake.
Requests for particular seats on the coach can be made when booking and we will do our best to accommodate these requests, but allocations are made on a first come first served basis, dependent upon customer mobility. We reserve the right to change your seat and allocate you a different one for operational reasons. On single bookings, we reserve the right to alter your seating to maximize the seating available. We accept no liability in the event of any such change.

Accessible Toilets are available on the ground floor inside the castle and in the gardens.
This is a sloping roadway of approx. 500m from the main entrance to the gardens.
There is a sloped entry into the castle building.
The main lift can be used for entry into and departure from the castle building. No help from staff needed to use the lift.
South passge list - There is a Victorian lift, maximum width 24 inches (60cm), that help is required from staff to use. This gives access to the state rooms on the first floor but not the Castle Bedrooms on the second floor. The Victoria Bedroom is on the first floor (the Victoria Rooms are closed for the 2024 season for major refurbishment).
We have a platform lift to negotiate three steps in the Barons Hall staff assistance is required to use this lift.
Within the castle, on the ground floor, has level entry and exit route.
The gardens have footpaths wide enough to take wheelchairs. The surface of them is gravel. There are moderate slopes that overcome the steps.
The gardens have accessible male and female toilets.
Access to the Inner Gatehouse and the Keep is by steep stone steps and spiral staircases.
We have a motorised buggy that can help you get from the ticket box to the gardens and castle entrance.
Wheelchairs and Motability scooters are allowed in the castle, with a width restriction of the Victorian lift being 24 (60cm).
Wheelchairs are available for loan on a first come, first served basis, for use inside the castle.
