The greatest free light show on earth has been a major part of Blackpools attraction since 1879, take a walking tour or hop on an illuminated tram to enjoy the six miles of traditional festoons and tableaux along the Promenade. Theres plenty to do during the day as well, from the Pleasure Beach to the Pier to the Tower and the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
Like most things in the nation's most entertaining seaside resort, theres nothing reserved about the Blackpool Illuminations, as over a million lamps cover the entire promenade in a sea of colour, including LEDS, searchlights, spotlights, lasers, fibre optics, floodlights and projections.
Featuring over 74 miles of cabling, this quirky light exhibit takes a team of artists, specialist engineers, joiners, electricians and mechanics work over 65,000 man-hours throughout the year to perfect the scheme.
The best way to experience the illuminations is on foot, with a bag of chips, hot sugared doughnuts and a stick of Blackpool rock.
Alternatively jump on an open-top tram along the golden mile or enjoy a romantic horse-drawn carriage for a totally different view.
Day 1
Departure Day
We will make arrangements to stop for a brief comfort break and a lunch stop on our route stopping at Trentham Gardens where you can purchase some lunch or eat your own packed lunch.
Hot Drinks and snacks will be served throughout the journey from the Masons tuck shop!
We should arrive at the Imperial Hotel for approx. 3pm where you can check in and are then free to enjoy your stay as you please .
Day 2
The Blackpool Illuminations are on in the evening between 5pm-11pm these can be enjoyed on foot or from a tram tour.
Illuminated Tram Tours start from the Heritage tram stop outside Blackpool Pleasure Beach/Sandcastle Waterpark. Please note that the tours cannot be pre-booked, and you pay on the night. Tours are circular starting and finishing at the Pleasure Beach. You may alight at North Pier, Uncle Tom's Cabin and Bispham in either direction if you so wish.
There are plenty of things to do with your time in Blackpool, the famous Tower, where you could enjoy cream tea, The pleasure beach if you like the thrill of a ride, heritage tram tours, the Grand theatre and much, much more!
Day 3
We will depart Blackpool at 2.00pm giving you time to enjoy a morning activity. We will make arrangements for a stop on the way home and anticipate our drops offs will start approx. 8.00pm

Timetable and door to door services
Our timetables are unique. Bookings are taken throughout the year, approx. 6-9 weeks prior to travel we release the balance reminders and your final itinerary, including your pickup times. This will come through to you in the post along with your luggage tags. This allows us to ensure our pick up routes are kept to a minimum and our routes run exactly to time. Commonly pick ups start between 7.45am and 9.00am we arrange for comfort stops and lunch stops along the route where necessary. For longer journeys we will arrange additional comfort breaks.
Door to Door service can be requested for our holidays where you are unable to board one of our pickup points, we use local taxi services and only charge you what they charge us.
Please note, occasionally we use a feeder coach along our pickup routes to accommodate booking requests and keep our main coach pickup route to a minimum.

· We work closely with the hotels to ensure they are aware of any room requests you have made, on some occasions hotels are not able to accommodate all requests, so please do note these are not guaranteed.
