We like to arrive at our destinations for approx. 11am. And commonly our departures from venues are between 4-5pm. Allowing us to return to our first drop off between 6-7pm
Accessibility
The light trail involves a significant amount of walking.
The Gardens are largely flat, with tarmac paths in most places.
There are unisex accessible toilets within easy reach of all the main attractions, cafés and gates.
The Temperate House and Alpine House are accessible by wheelchair and mobility scooter. Unfortunately our other glasshouses are not.
The Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art has a ramp to enter the gallery and is fully accessible by wheelchair.
The Marianne North Gallery is fully accessible by wheelchair and can be entered via a platform lift near the Temperate House gates, also accessible for mobility scooters as larger than Shirley Sherwood Gallery.
There are benches and cafes around the venue for people to sit down.
You are welcome to bring your own scooter if it is a pavement-use mobility scooter limited to 4mph.
There are a limited number of wheelchairs available to borrow at entry gates for you and your essential carer. Theres no need to book, please ask when you arrive.
Because Kew is a large site there will naturally be an amount of walking to get to the different places within the venue.
