This picturesque seaside town is known for its colourful 19th-century villas, traditional fishermens huts and sweeping pebble beach.
Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, browse the independent shops and galleries, or treat yourself to Aldeburghs famous fish and chips.
Aldeburgh has a fascinating history. Once a thriving Tudor port, it was granted borough status by Henry VIII, while its shipbuilders were connected with famous vessels
including Sir Francis Drakes Golden Hind.
Music and the arts remain at the heart of Aldeburgh.
Composer Benjamin Britten founded the celebrated Aldeburgh Festival and visitors can also discover striking sculptures
and a thriving programme of cultural events.
