Brooklands Museum

 

Opened in 1907, Brooklands was the world’s first purpose-built motor-racing circuit.

It subsequently became one of Britain’s earliest aerodromes and an important centre for aircraft design and manufacturing.

 

The museum preserves this intertwined history of racing, aviation

and British engineering.

 

 

 

Concorde

Brooklands is the home of Concorde. The first aircraft to carry 100 passengers at twice the speed of sound, not only was Concorde an engineering marvel, she was an icon of beauty, style, and in her own way, a brand.

Brooklands Museum is a large open-air museum with many period buildings and exhibits. Due to the historic nature of our site there are areas which have bumpy and uneven surfaces.
