The Cambridge Central Mosque welcomes everyone regardless of background or faith.
The Cambridge Central Mosque design was inspired both by Islamic and English religious architectural traditions. More than ten years of dedicated work has resulted in a pioneering mosque, one that seems to have grown organically out of the landscape and celebrates our shared love of beauty.
The defining feature of Cambridge Mosque is its timber structure. The columns, or ‘trees’, reach up to support the roof in an interlaced octagonal lattice vault structure evocative of English Gothic fan vaulting, famously used at the nearby King’s College Chapel.
Worshipers and visitors enter via an Islamic garden before passing through a covered portico and then an atrium,
preparing them gradually for the contemplation of the prayer hall, facing Mecca.
Starting the guided tour in the gardens, we journey through its trees, flower beds and fountain. We then pass through the portico and atrium, via ablution areas, cleansed and ready to enter the grand prayer hall: an oasis of calm, and the perfect space for spiritual contemplation and connection with the unseen.
Requests for particular seats on the coach can be made when booking and we will do our best to accommodate these requests, but allocations are made on a first come first served basis, dependent upon customer mobility. We reserve the right to change your seat and allocate you a different one for operational reasons. On single bookings, we reserve the right to alter your seating to maximize the seating available. We accept no liability in the event of any such change.

Accessibility
There is a step-free entrance to the mosque from the main road.
The mosque is accessible and there is a lift from the underground car park.
The tour itself is mainly step-free also, apart from access to the Gallery Prayer area in the women's section where there are about 15 or so steps. There are hand rails on each side for assistance.
Dress Code
Out of respect for this place of worship, adult visitors are requested to observe modest dress that covers their arms and legs.
Women will be asked to cover their heads before entering the prayer hall, so please bring a scarf with you.
All visitors will be asked to remove their shoes at the entrance. If visitors are unable to remove their shoes for any reason, shoe covers can be provided.

Timetable
Our timetables are unique. Bookings are taken throughout the year, approx. one month prior to travel we release the balance reminders and your final itinerary, including your pickup times. This allows us to ensure our pickup routes are kept to a minimum and our days run exactly to time.
Commonly pickups start between 7.45am and 09.00am. We like to arrive at our destinations for approx. 11am.
Commonly our departures from venues are between 4-5pm. Allowing us to return to our first drop off between 6-7pm.
Please note, occasionally we use a feeder coach along our pickup routes to accommodate booking requests and keep our main coach pickup route to a minimum.
