Layer Marney Tower is England’s tallest Tudor Gatehouse, standing within the Essex landscape, commanding views to the River Blackwater.

We reserve the right to change your seat and allocate you a different one for operational reasons. On single bookings, we reserve the right to alter your seating to maximize the seating available. Our Hotel accommodation is all situated on the first and second floor (no ground floor rooms) we do have lifts, but in the event of an emergency you must be able to manage the stairs or use of evacuation chairs.
The Village accommodation is on two levels with no lifts to the upper level.
We have a number of rooms at Five Lakes with step in showers, if a room with a shower is essential, we ask that this is discussed with us at time of making the booking, so we can suggest the most suitable room type available.
Some Deluxe rooms have a shower over the bath, others a step-in shower.
Swimming Pool, steps leading to the entrance, but we now have a chair lift for those steps. The steps into the pool itself are now graduated steps with a rail.

Golf
Experienced Golfers can enjoy the 18 hole Lakes Golf Course which is one of the finest courses in Essex. The tees and greens are meticulously maintained and present a challenge to experienced golfers. The course is designed by the European Tour legend Neil Coles with excellent short game practice facilities and onsite driving range.
Spa
Potters are delighted to advise that Spa Packages are now available to book. The Spa at Five Lakes offers twelve treatment rooms, a bespoke relaxation area and a dedicated space to enjoy delicious lite bites and refreshments, an idyllic venue to relax and unwind.
The Spa offers a range of treatments covering massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, wrap and alternative therapies.
