The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is a volunteer operated heritage railway in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire offering a round trip of 28 miles. It uses part of the route of the former Great Western Railway's main line from Birmingham to Cheltenham which used to run via Stratford-upon-Avon.
It now operates steam and heritage diesel trains between Cheltenham Racecourse and Broadway through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cotswolds. The line commands wonderful views of the nearby sleepy hamlets and villages, with outstanding outlooks across to the Malvern Hills and beyond.
You will be served delicious Fish and Chips at your allocated table by a steward, who will also take orders for any drinks you require.
The menu is set, and no variations can be delivered from this.
The dress code aboard the train is smart dress. Adherence to this code is appreciated
All food is gluten free.
The minimum age for travelling on this service is 16 years +
Our journey begains and finishes at Toddington Station.
Toddington Station is home to the Locomotive Departments and was where the GWSR first started.
Requests for particular seats on the coach can be made when booking and we will do our best to accommodate these requests,
but allocations are made on a first come first served basis, dependent upon customer mobility.
We reserve the right to change your seat and allocate you a different one for operational reasons.
On single bookings, we reserve the right to alter your seating to maximize the seating available. We accept no liability in the event of any such change.

Accessibility
The locomotive hauled trains have compartments which have been specially adapted for wheelchair passengers and their helpers. However the spaces in these adapted carriages are allocated on a first come, first served basis and so availability cannot be guaranteed. Standard single carriage door with steps (left)and ramp access to double doors Specially converted accessible carriages
The standard doors into the carriages have an open width of about 2ft 5in/58cm. There are two steps up into the carriages from the platform and each step is about 7in/18cm high. Our volunteers will always be happy to provide a ramp to enable passengers in wheelchairs and anyone who cannot climb the steps to board the trains via the double doors just ask.
Both Toddington and Winchcombe stations have two platforms in regular use. Platform 1 is the one nearest to the booking office and toilets. However, some trains will depart from Platform 2 on the opposite side of the tracks. Platform 2 is normally accessed via a footbridge. For anyone with problems using a footbridge, a member of the station staff will be more than happy to show you where you can cross the line via the barrow crossing at the end of the platform.
We have a modern toilet block close to the Café. There are facilities for nappy changing and an accessible toilet.
Day Trip Departures
Our timetables are unique. Bookings are taken throughout the year, approx. one month prior to travel we release the balance reminders and your final itinerary, including your pickup times. This allows us to ensure our pickup routes are kept to a minimum and our days run exactly to time.
Commonly pickups start between 7.45am and 9.00am. We like to arrive at our destinations for approx. 11am.
Commonly our departures from venues are between 4-5pm. Allowing us to return to our first drop off between 6-7pm.
Please note, occasionally we use a feeder coach along our pickup routes to accommodate booking requests and keep our main coach pickup route to a minimum.
Terms and Conditions can be found on our website or copies supplied upon request.
