Located inside Oxfords Grade IIlisted Town Hall,
this museum tells the story of Oxford
and its people through exhibitions about the citys history, culture, and community.
Ashmolean Museum
Opened in 1683, it is Britains first public museum and
the worlds first university museum. Its collections
span from 500,000 BC to the present day, including Egyptian
mummies and the worlds greatest collection of drawings by
Raphael.
Bodleian Libraries
The largest academic library system in the UK, the Bodleian has
been used by generations of famous scholars. Those who have
studied in its reading rooms include monarchs, Nobel Prize
winners, British Prime Ministers, and renowned writers such as
Oscar Wilde, C. S. Lewis, and J. R. R. Tolkien.
