Rockingham Castle is one of Englands best-preserved historic castles, originally built on the orders of William the Conqueror in the late 11th century.
Remarkably, it has remained continuously occupied for nearly 1,000 years and is still the home of the Saunders-Watson family today.
The formal gardens of Rockingham Castle were completed in their present form after the English Civil War.
The gardens are made up of several rising terraces, from the Terrace Lawn, to the Cross Garden, divided by our famous Elephant Yew Hedge.
In the ravine to the west is the Wild Garden, a natural garden with a variety of trees and shrubs.
Requests for particular seats on the coach can be made when booking and we will do our best to accommodate these requests, but allocations are made on a first come first served basis, dependent upon customer mobility. We reserve the right to change your seat and allocate you a different one for operational reasons.
On single bookings, we reserve the right to alter your seating to maximize the seating available. We accept no liability in the event of any such change.
