Every year, the Abbey welcomes over one million visitors who want to explore this wonderful 700-year-old building - the coronation church of England.Westminster Abbey houses over 3,000 individuals, including 30 monarchs and notable figures like Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and Stephen Hawking.
The Coronation Chair in St Georges Chapel has been used by every English and British monarch at their coronation since the 13th century.
The Lady Chapel is the burial place of 15 monarchs, including Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots.
Visit the Chapter House, featuring a door dating back to the 1050s, once serving as a meeting place for early forms of government before the Palace of Westminster
