This 10-acre garden has luxuriant borders that will delight the plant enthusiast while everyone will enjoy the gardens charm and special atmosphere, with colour and interest throughout the seasons.
The extensive nursery has over a thousand varieties of plants, many of which are unusual and are propagated from the garden.
Originally laid out in the 1920s by the grandparents of the current owner, the garden has been developed gradually by subsequent generations to its present state, where in 2019 it was voted as The Nations Favourite Garden in a poll conducted by the English Garden magazine in conjunction with the National Garden Scheme. Since 1991 it has been tended by Susie Pasley-Tyler, recently joined by her younger daughter, Imogen.
Beyond the garden is a magical five acre bluebell wood and a wildflower meadow.
The Stableyard Cafe serves homemade lunches and teas when the garden is open.
