Day Trip
Arrival 11.30am
Departure 4.30pm
Accessibility
Level access throughout the wider estate, gravelled paths in gardens and outside the mansion house.
A volunteer run buggy service operates from the car park to the mansion house and stables courtyard if staff are available
There is a disabled WC within the stables toilet block, with an emergency chord. The cubicle is approximately 2.4m x 2.5m.
The House is surounded by pea gravel which is wheelchair accessible.
The Principal floor is only accessible via stairs. There are 24 shallow steps with no handrail. If a handrail is needed, there is an alternate staircase of 24 shallow steps with one, accessible upon request.
Some of the access routes are quite narrow (down to 850cm), however with a one-way route around the House this does not usually cause bottlenecks.
Some of the state rooms are restricted and so it is not possible to turn a wheelchair around. The one-way route means that this should not be necessary.
There is limited seating available around the House, please ask the room guides for the nearest seating.
There are volunteers in most rooms within the House
There is a map of the garden showing options for routes round the garden, available from the Garden Kiosk.
The route around the garden is level and largely step-free.
The paths are either gravel or compacted earth. Some paths can be uneven due to tree roots and general wear and tear, especially on the Long Walk.
There are benches located throughout the garden, as well as picnic benches by the playtrail. These benches are all wheelchair accessible.
A Mountain Trike Wheelchair, single or double powered mobility vehicle, and outdoor wheelchair are available for the gardens. Please call 0208 232 5050 or email osterley@nationaltrust.org.uk ahead of your visit to find out more.

Our timetables are unique. Bookings are taken throughout the year, approx. one month prior to travel we release the balance reminders and your final itinerary, including your pickup times. This allows us to ensure our pickup routes are kept to a minimum and our days run exactly to time.
Commonly pickups start between 7.45am and 9.00am. We like to arrive at our destinations for approx. 11am.
Commonly our departures from venues are between 4-5pm. Allowing us to return to our first drop off between 6-7pm.
Please note, occasionally we use a feeder coach along our pickup routes to accommodate booking requests and keep our main coach pickup route to a minimum.
Terms and Conditions can be found on our website or copies supplied upon request.
