Covent Garden
We begin our day in the heart of Londons West End at Covent Garden, where youll have a couple of hours to explore at your leisure.
A vibrant shopping and entertainment district, Covent Garden is centred around its elegant pedestrianised Piazza, home to stylish boutiques,
the famous Apple Market, and the iconic Royal Opera House and street performers entertain visitors outside the beautiful 17th-century St Paul's Church.
The Postal Musuem
The The Postal Museum offers a fascinating insight into the history of Britains postal service and communication network.
Covering more than 500 years of postal history, the museum features interactive exhibits, rare artefacts, vintage postal vehicles,
and personal stories from generations of postal workers.
One of its highlights is the famous Mail Rail an underground miniature railway that once transported letters beneath the streets of London
and now takes visitors on an immersive journey through the original tunnels.
Combining technology, social history, and hands-on experiences, the museum reveals how the postal system connected communities across the country
and helped shape everyday life in Britain
PLEASE NOTE:
Lift access is available in all spaces open to the public in The Postal Museum and Mail Rail with the exception of the Mail Rail Ride
Due to the historic nature of the Mail Rail and to ensure the safety of all our guests, access to the ride is restricted. All visitors boarding the train must be able to transfer themselves in and out of the train unaided. In the event of an emergency evacuation all visitors must be able to walk unaided on uneven terrain, in a confined space and with low lighting levels for approximately 100 metres, before climbing 70 steps to the surface. Due to the size constrictions of the ride, no wheelchairs or walking aids can be accommodated in the carriages and must be left in the cages provided before boarding the train.

Please read the information below to ensure the ride is suitable for you before booking a ticket.
Essential Information
In the event of an emergency evacuation guests must be able to walk unaided for a minimum of 100 metres on uneven surfaces with minimal lighting, and up at least 70 steep steps. Visitors who do not meet these requirements will be unable to ride.
Visitors must be able to enter and exit the carriages independently.
The audio-visual shows projected onto the platform walls during the ride contain flashing lights and would not be suitable for those with photo-sensitive epilepsy.
There is no option to exit once the ride has begun and it will last approximately 15 minutes.
The Mail Rail ride is a loud, highly visually stimulating experience, so would not be suitable for those who may find this distressing.
The carriages are small and some of the tunnels are very narrow; this may be unsuitable or uncomfortable for visitors sensitive to small, confined spaces.
Visitors sensitive to darkness may find the experience distressing.
The tunnels can smell of damp and it can smell stronger at specific points of the rid
